It's hard to believe we're more than halfway through the year — the old adage about time flying by is certainly true. Provident continues to work diligently for our members and communities.

Anniversary Celebration

We chose the theme "Smart Banking" to mark our anniversary and are giving away a Smart Car, complete with custom graphics and a surfboard. This unique vehicle could be yours! Click here to enter.

New 40-Year Mortgage

With a longer term, this new fixed/adjustable Provident mortgage allows for a lower monthly payment or makes it easier to afford a bigger home.

Improvements to e-Services

• Bill Manager on Mobile Banking — Now you can make a single payment to an existing payee, verify that a scheduled payment has been made and cancel a pending payment.
• Bill Manager upgrade — Starting July 29th, you'll be able to access 18 months of payment history. There will also be quick links to jump to screens you use most frequently.
• Account to account transfers through Account Manager — Previously available under the Money HQ tab in online banking, this updated feature will be moved to the Transfers tab within Account Manager in August. Be sure to allow some extra time for registration and set-up prior to making your first transfer.
• FinanceWorks — This new program allows you to put all your account information, including accounts from other financial institutions, in one place for optimal management. You can set up budgets, categorize expenses and much more. FinanceWorks is free and accessible through Account Manager and helps you maintain accounts at Provident and other financial institutions.
• Password resets — You no longer have to call us to have your password reset if you've been locked out. You can reset your own password 24/7 by re-entering the information you used to initially sign up for home banking. Enter your User ID and then click on "reset password" on the password page.

In Our Communities

"I'm In" Campaign

Your credit union was proud to become a Platinum sponsor of the "I'm In" campaign, an effort by School-Force, the Belmont-Redwood Shores Public School Foundation, to counter a $3 million shortfall in the Belmont-Redwood Shores school district's budget. Provident donated $20,000 toward helping reinstate teachers who are in jeopardy of losing their jobs next year.

2010 Scholarship Winners

Our yearly scholarship awards were presented at our Annual Meeting in April. This was an exceptional year for candidates and it wasn't easy to choose the winners. Our five winners were featured in last month's Connections...congratulations to Ari, Rhafael, Kathlene, Johnathan and Adam. We're proud of all of you!
